STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- A Washington Township man was killed Thursday morning in a rollover crash in Sterling Heights.
According to police, the 29-year-old was driving a Lincoln Navigator through the intersection at 18 Mile Rd. and Mound, at around 6 a.m., when the driver of a Ford Fusion reportedly ran a red light.
The Navigator rolled over, and the driver was ejected.
Lifesaving efforts were performed on scene before he was transported to a local hospital, where he later died of his injuries, police said. His name was not released.
No other injuries were reported.
The 18 Mile and Mound intersection was closed for a time with police on scene, but has since reopened to traffic.
Authorities said alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
