(WWJ) A record number of people and boats turned out for the big "Raft Off" party in Muskamoot Bay on Saturday. But according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office, "While many enjoyed the warm weather and company, others took the opportunity to overindulge and behave irresponsibly."
The sheriff's office said that 50 individuals were left stranded in the water when they failed to return with the party they arrived with.
Multiple fights broke out as the day went on, officials said, including one involving a knife.
After a disagreement, a 21-year-man was stabbed, allegedly by 26-year-old Salem Asmar of Shelby Twp.
Asmar was taken into custody and arraigned in in 72nd District Court Monday afternoon on a charge of Intent to do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder.
Bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety.

Speaking to WWJ's Amanda Forrester prior to the party, St. Clair County Sheriff Mat King advised all attendees to keep a close eye on the boats they arrived on, and make sure not to get separated from their group. He also urged boaters not to pick up abandoned party goers they do not know.
In a news release Monday, King said: “We welcome all to enjoy come enjoy Lake St. Clair but violence is not something that will be tolerated on the water. Our Marine Deputies take safety seriously and those who are behaving irresponsibly or are breaking the law, will face consequences."
No further details were shared by the sheriff's office regarding the stabbing victim or his injuries.
Asmar faces up to ten years in prison if convicted as charged.
