A suspect, who led several police departments on a chase throughout Oakland County, has been captured.
"SUSPECT IN CUSTODY" was the message posted on the Oakland County Sheriff's Department Facebook page Friday morning.
The suspect first drove away from Green Oak Township officers Thursday night. The chase went through Lyon Township, Milford, Highland Township before ending in Rose Township, according to the Sheriff's office.
The search was focused on an area near Rose Center Road and Hickory Ridge Drive in Rose Township. Several police departments, including K-9 teams, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Drone Unit, and the Sheriff's Search & Rescue Team were involved.
An alert was sent to residents in the area asking them to remain vigilant, lock their car and house doors and report any suspicious activity. Law enforcement personnel said there was no known danger to the public.
It's unclear why the suspect wouldn't stop or for what he was wanted.
The case will be sent to the Prosecutor's office to determine what charges will be filed.
