DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Police are asking for the public's help in located two suspects in a home invasion, aggravated assault and armed robbery.
It happened Sunday, December 10 around 2:10 p.m. in the 15000 block of
Birwood, near Fenkell and Wyoming, on Detroit's west side.
The two suspects allegedly came into the victim’s home, assaulted them and the other victims, and stole multiple items.
The suspects were armed with firearms and fled toward Chalfonte Street in a U-Haul. The U-Haul has since been recovered.
The first suspect is described as a 5’9” thin-built male wearing a navy blue skull cap, a navy blue Nike jacket, dark pants, black and white Nike “Dunks,” with shoulder-length dreadlocks with blonde tips. He also appeared to be in his early to mid-twenties.
That suspect can be seen in surveillance video carrying black garbage bags from the home.
The second suspect is a male who is approximately in his early to mid-forties and was wearing all black clothing, a black Detroit “D” baseball cap, and black “suede” Timberland boots. He also has a black beard with gray in it, has a large build, and is around 5’4” tall.
The older suspect is shown in the video approaching the home, knocking on the door and entering first when it is answered.
