Teen shot Tuesday at apartments on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are investigating after a teenager was shot Tuesday morning, at an apartment building on Detroit's east side.

A Detroit Police spokesperson told WWJ Newsradio 950 that the shooting happened at around 10:50 a.m., in the 10400 block of Cadieux, south of Morang Ave. near I-94.

Police said this was a non-fatal shooting, but it's unclear how badly he or she was injured.

No arrests have been announced in the case, and there is no description of any suspects at this time.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are not yet known, as the investigation gets underway.
