WARREN (WWJ) – The music of Pink Floyd has been changing lives for the better part of six decades, from “Another Brick in the Wall” to the legendary “Dark Side of the Moon” album.
Metro Detroiters have a chance to experience that music like never before this weekend when Paramount’s Laser Spectacular featuring the music of Pink Floyd comes to the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren Friday night.
While there are various laser shows in planetariums and theaters across the country, Steve Monistere, the producer of the show, tells WWJ’s Erin Vee theirs is “absolutely the best.”
“A lot of them are really, really good. What we do, really, is different than that. We’re more of the theater style, rock concert type show, fire and brimstone, lights, lasers, large screen video,” he said. “The only thing missing is the band, but no one ever knows that the band is missing.”
He says the show draws people of all ages, offering something to longtime Pink Floyd fans and introducing younger generations to the band.
Friday’s show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the Andiamo Showroom website.
