(WWJ) The zoo is all dressed up for the holidays, and you're invited.
Tickets for Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak are still available for December 22-23 and 26-31, 2021, as well as January 2-3 and 5-9, 2022.
Guests of all ages are welcome to take in the sights and sounds of the season at this outdoor event, featuring millions of LED lights illuminating trees, buildings and more than 280 sculptures.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, showcasing award-winning photography, is also included with Wild Lights admission.
The optional Polar Patio package includes admission to Wild Lights as well as all-you-can-eat food and dessert, hot cocoa in a souvenir cup and a cash bar.
Ticket prices are as follows:
Wild Lights Admission (ages 2+) $17-$24, deepening on the date - Admission to Wild Lights and Wildlife Photographer of the Year
Wild Lights + Polar Patio Package (ages 2+) $30-$38 - Admission to Wild Lights and Wildlife Photographer of the Year, all-you-can-eat food and dessert at the Polar Patio and hot cocoa in a souvenir cup.
Children under 2 get in FREE.
Parking is $8 per vehicle.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests, the capacity of Wild Lights has been limited this year. For that reason, the zoo strongly recommends that you purchase your tickets in advance online or at the Detroit Zoo during daytime hours. A limited number of Wild Lights general admission tickets will be sold at the gate each night for $25 per person.
