SALINE (WWJ) -- Police in Washtenaw County's Saline have a suspect in custody after a Subway restaurant was robbed at knifepoint.
According to the Saline Police Department, officers responded to the store on Michigan Ave., near Industrial Drive, on reports of a robbery Sunday afternoon.
Subway employees told police that an "older white male wearing a red checkered hoodie" came into the store armed with a knife. He took some cash, and drove away in a black Chevy Equinox.
Police searched through surveillance video and released a photo of the alleged robber to the public, asking for help to identify him.
Tips through social media then led detectives to a suspect: 59-year-old John Fulton. He was located at a home in Milan, arrested without incident, and taken to the Washtenaw County Jail, police said.
Fulton has since been arraigned on three counts: armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and a felony weapons charge.
He was arranged on the charges in 14A District Court and ordered held on a $30,000 cash/surety bond.
Fulton's next court appearance will be a probable cause conference scheduled for March 6.
