STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) -- Authorities are on the lookout for a trio of alleged Macomb County dine and dashers, with expensive taste.

Photos are circulating on social media of young men, appearing to be in their late teens or early 20s, who had dinner together at Johnny Black's Public House, on Moravian in Sterling Heights.

It's alleged that the three undefined patrons ordered lobster and ribeye steaks, just to leave without paying when their server walked away — running off on foot before escaping in a vehicle.

Another photo from a security camera outside shows they were driving a late 2000s Chevy sedan.

Many people commenting on the posts said similar things, like "shame on these boys" — suggesting that their families will be embarrassed by their behavior.

A couple of people said restaurants should check IDs and take down names before taking food orders, while one commenter, using the screen name Haywood Jaablowme, commented: "Restaurants need to just swipe a credit card from everyone and put a hold on it like a gas pump does. You walk away from your bill then you still get charged."
