RIVERVIEW (WWJ) -- One person is dead following some kind of accident Thursday at the Riverview Land Preserve.
According to officials with the Riverview Police Department, there was a "tragic accident" at the land preserve, which is located in the City of Riverview, south of Detroit.
A truck driver was killed in his vehicle, police said.
In a brief press release, the Riverview PD added: "The circumstances are presently under investigation and we are not prepared to make any statements at this time. We do, however, extend our prayers and deepest sympathies to the family of the truck driver."
Police have not released any further details as far as what happened, and the name of the truck driver is also being withheld at this time.
