(WWJ) Two suspects are behind bars for allegedly pointing guns at officers during a chase caught on camera.
Michigan State Police (MSP) say troopers overheard on a Detroit Police talk group that two people in a suspect vehicle were pointing pistols at a DPD scout on Friday night around 10:35.
MSP Troopers found the Dodge Charger that matched the officer's description in the area of Evergreen and I-96. The Dodge had no running lights. Troopers attempted a traffic stop and pursued the car until it stopped on a side street.
As troopers walked up to the car, the suspect once again fled. The suspect ran a stop sign at Kentfield and I-96 Service Drive, crashing into a DPD unit.
Troopers and DPD were able to arrest the duo of armed subjects. Police learned the vehicle and at least one of the handguns were stolen. The driver was also wanted in connection to a homicide.
The suspects were treated at the scene and are expected to be okay. None of the officers were injured.
