
INKSTER (WWJ) Inkster Police are investigating the discovery of two bodies inside a parked U-Haul.
In a social media statement, Inkster Police said they responded to a call to check out a possibly stolen vehicle in the driveway of a home on Inkster near Ford around 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 12.
According to police, officers found a woman and a man, who had apparently been shot and killed, inside the back of the truck. Both are believed to be in their thirties.
Their names are being withheld until officers can notify their families, police said.
Investigators confirmed the U-Haul had been stolen. No one is in custody.
Police also reiterated that this incident does not involve the missing 17-year-old girl from the community.
"We ask the community to avoid spreading unverified information, as it can hinder ongoing investigations and cause unnecessary distress..." police said in a statement, urging the public to follow their official page for verified and accurate information.
