Police told WWJ Newsradio 950 that they received the call around 8 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators have not released any information on the deceased, including their ages, and whether or not they were students or were otherwise associated with the university.

The cause of the deaths is also unknown.

Police did not say whether or not foul play is suspected, but did note in a media release: “Based on the information thus far learned by ELPD, there does not appear to be an active or ongoing threat to the community."

The deaths were discovered just hours after the Spartans beat the Wolverines 37 to 33. Police said students and others had set at least two dozen fires to couches and other types of furniture near campus.
