EASTPOINTE (WWJ) Eastpointe Police are searching for a suspect in a quadruple, deadly shooting outside a Foot Locker.

Eastpointe Police said they were called to the parking lot at Kelly Road and 8 Mile on Saturday, May 3, around 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, they found one man dead.

Two more victims were taken to the hospital, where one of them passed away, according to officers.

Another victim showed up at the hospital "a short time later" for treatment. The conditions of the two survivors were not released.

Initial investigation revealed that two groups ran into the each other in the parking lot. An argument broke out, which escalated to physical violence. Police told WWJ a suspect grabbed a gun from a vehicle and opened fire.

Investigators said the two groups knew each other.

The suspect fled the scene in a black sedan, according to police.

"It does not appear that there is any danger to the public due to the fact that the shooting was not random," police said in their statement.

Anyone with information should call Eastpointe Police at (586) 445-5100.
