DETROIT (WWJ) A quadruple stabbing at a pool party on Detroit's east side left two people dead and two hospitalized.
Detroit Police said it happened on Saturday, August 9, around 10 p.m. at a home on Fleming Street, in the area of Seven Mile and Dequindre.
According to police, an argument broke out over a woman at the pool party.
"From that argument, one (man) stabbed our four victims," Deputy Chief Arnold Williams said.
A woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s both died. Their names were not released.
One man is in critical condition. The other is listed in stable condition. Both are in their 30s, police said.
According to Williams, police have identified a person of interest. They are searching for him.
Williams said the suspect and the woman at the center of the argument "may have been in a dating relationship," but it remains under investigation.
"We have four people who were stabbed because someone may have said something, or someone may have touched somebody," Williams said. "That is not how we deal with any type of conflict. We have to do better."
