LINCOLN PARK (WWJ) Two pedestrians were struck by a car in Lincoln Park, police confirm.
It happened at the intersection of Emmons and Fort Street on Wednesday, August 6, around 1:45 p.m.
WWJ has learned the victims are middle-school-aged children who were crossing Emmons Street when the car hit them. They were taken to Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital. Authorities told us they are listed in critical, but stable condition; and they are expected to survive.
The driver is cooperating with officers, according to authorities.
As of 3 p.m., investigators remain on the scene. Police ask that you avoid the area.
