DEARBORN (WWJ) Dearborn Police are searching for the suspect (or suspects) in a shooting outside a restaurant in the Fairlane Town Center.
Police told WWJ's Charlie Langton the suspect(s) opened fire on two men outside Benihana, at Southfield and Hubbard, on Wednesday (8/21) around 9 p.m.
The suspect shot both victims in their legs in an apparent "targeted attack", police said.
"At this point, we believe it was not a random act of violence and there is no longer a threat to the community." Corporal Dan Bartok of Deaborn Police told WWJ.
Investigators believe a shootout occurred since the shooter(s) fired multiple rounds, and a vehicle sustained bullet holes. They are unsure if one suspect is involved or multiple.
The victims are in stable condition.
