Suspect, person of interest wanted in shooting at Detroit gas station

(WWJ) Detroit Police are searching for a suspect (right) and a person of interest (left) in a shooting at a gas station on the west side.

Police say a man, 30, was sitting inside a red Dodge Ram 1500 at the gas pump when an unknown man fired multiple shots in his direction and grazed him.


The shooting happened on February 2 around 4:45 p.m., on McNichols near St. Mary's.

The suspect then ran west through the alley, and turned north on Murray Hill. Before the gunfire, witnesses told police they saw the suspect getting out of a white Ford Fusion (with tinted windows and broken passenger side mirror).

The victim immediately drove home and called 911. He refused treatment when medics responded, according to police.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black winter hat and black jacket with writing on the back.

Police are also looking for a person of interest, seen getting into the same car as the suspect. She is believed to have information pertaining to the crime. She has golden blonde waist length hair pulled into a ponytail and wrapped in a light-colored scarf.

She was last seen in a light-colored jacket with a black Nike shirt underneath, light colored-ripped styled jeans and carrying a black and white purse with white writing on the front.
