DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit diners will have a brand new, high-end bistro to add to their 'must try' list after it opens at the David Whitney Building in downtown Detroit later this year.

Detroit-based Roxbury Group, through its Treefort Hospitality group, announced the new restaurant, Presley’s Kitchen + Bar, on Monday -- it is the latest concept from operators Brandon and Karissa Davis.

Presley's will be open to guests seven days a week and will settle into the first-floor space at the corner of Woodward and Park Avenues directly across from Grand Circus Park in downtown Detroit.

“We looked for a long time to find the right partner for this space at the David Whitney” said Stacy Fox, principal of the Roxbury Group. “This building is special to Detroiters, and we wanted to be sure that the concept was something that would enhance the experience of guests, residents and visitors to the David Whitney. We are excited to bring Brandon’s and Karissa’s talents to this remarkable space.”

According to Roxbury Group, Presley’s will offer diners a "progressive American cuisine with a focus on fresh, local ingredients, and will feature a wood-fired grill, with breakfast, lunch and dinner menus."

The design of the restaurant will be orchestrated by renowned restaurant and hospitality designer, Mark Knauer, and feature warm wood tones and Art Deco green accents.

Presley's will hold seating for 150 diners on the perimeter of the space that will showcase the views of both downtown and the David Whitney’s nationally-recognized atrium. At the center of it all will be a 30-seat bar while a sidewalk patio is planned for Woodward Avenue.

Presley’s joins the Davis Hospitality Group portfolio that also encompasses Novella’s Pizza in downtown Milford as well as a second location inside Ford Field. The group is also opening a fine dining steakhouse, the Reserve, in downtown Brighton this summer.
