WATCH: Vandal knocks on victim's door before spray-painting racial slur, 'white lives matter' on Detroit home

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Authorities are investigating a racially-motivated case of property damage that happened last week in Detroit.

On Sunday June 12, at approximately 11:45 p.m. in the 2207 block of Vaughan St., a suspect knocked on the door of the 35-year-old victim and called him a racial slur.

The suspect then entered the backyard and vandalized the home, writing the slur and “white lives matter."

The suspect is described as a white male, last seen wearing a hoodie and sweatpants.
