DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department is searching for a trio of suspects wanted in a shooting and arson at a home on the city's west side.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, caught on camera at around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7.
Seen in home security video released by the DPD, police said the trio walked up to a house in the 19200 block of Appleton, near 7 Mile and Telegraph Rd., and started a fire.
Two of the suspects then fired shots at the home and ran away, while the third suspect went to the side house where he threw a Molotov cocktail at a window.
A Molotov cocktail, also known as a "bottle bomb," is a weapon typically made of a glass container filled with a flammable substance and equipped with a fuse, which is lit and then thrown by hand.
After throwing the object, police said the third suspect also fled the scene on foot.
No one was home at the time of the crime.
Police said there was some fire damage on the first floor of the home.
As of Thursday, police had yet to identify the suspects.
