MONROE (WWJ) -- The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the public in the search for suspects in a weekend breaking and entering and arson at a pot shop.
The incident happened in the early morning hours Sunday, when police said stolen vehicle crashed into the Pure Cannabis store, along Dixie Highway in Monroe.
A caller told police that the driver of the vehicle appeared to have intentionally rammed the front of the store.
Two suspects were seen fleeing the location and getting into another nearby waiting vehicle, as the store burst into flames.
When deputies arrived, they found the maroon Jeep Cherokee partially inside the store, as fire suppression sprinklers were operating.
The Jeep was later determined to be reported stolen out of Detroit.
The sheriff's office released some surveillance video of the incident, as it continues to investigate.
