WANTED: Man who broke into clothing store on Woodward Avenue, stole merchandise

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police have released a photo as they search for a man wanted in the breaking and entering of a Downtown Detroit business.

At around 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, police said the suspect broke into a clothing store in the 1500 block of Woodward Ave., stole some merchandise, and fled on foot.

The suspect, whose image was captured on a surveillance camera in the area, is described as man in his late 40s, wearing a gray hat, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black shoes.

Police did not release the name of the store, or any further details about what was taken.

As the investigation continues, anyone who recognizes this suspect or has any information about this crime is asked to call the Detroit Police Department’s 3rd Precinct at 313-596-1340, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587).
