TRENTON (WWJ) -- Police in a Downriver community are asking for help from the public to track down a man wanted in an alleged attack on a Good Samaritan.
At around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, police responded to a call about an assault that had just occurred in the city of Trenton.
When Trenton Police officers arrived at the scene, they said they determined that a Good Samaritan had intervened in another possible assault, and was then assaulted by the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 30 years old, with longer hair. He left the scene with an "unknown female" in a burgundy Chevy Trax, police said.

Police did not say how seriously the victim was hurt, and no further details about the incident were released.
As Trenton Police work to track down the suspect, they released a surveillance photo of the vehicle, asking for tips.
