
WARREN (WWJ) -- A Warren man has been arrested on misdemeanor charges after it was alleged he tried to lure a teenage girl into his car.
The incident happened Thursday afternoon at Shawn and Jenny, in a neighborhood near Masonic and Bunert Rd., not far from Cousino High School.
Warren Police said the suspect pulled up in a Jeep tried to persuade the student to get into his car. When she pulled out her cell phone and started recording the interaction, the man took off. No force or weapons were used, police said.

Police said that less than 24 hours after the incident was reported, 35-year-old Kevin Regan was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and improper license plate.
According to the Warren PD, a team of detectives used "various law enforcement investigative techniques" to identify Regan and his vehicle.
Regan was ultimately taken into custody without incident, while leaving his home in his Jeep.
He was charged by the Warren City Attorney’s Office with one count of disturbing the peace (a 93-day-misdemeanor), and one count of improper license plate (a 93-day misdemeanor).
He was arraigned, pleaded not guilty, and his bond was set at $5,000 cash/surety only. As a condition of his bond, Regan was ordered to have no contact with the victim, or any minors, and he must wear a GPS tether.
Police noted that Regan has previous convictions for drug-related offenses.
