WARREN (WWJ) -- A Warren man has been arraigned on a charge of Second Degree Murder in connection to a deadly stabbing over the weekend.

Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido announced Wednesday that he has charged 22-year-old Travis Holdburg in the stabbing that happened late Saturday, May 31, at a Warren home.

According to prosecutors, officers were called to the home and found Holdburg standing in the driveway. Once inside, they found the victim dead with multiple injuries and a large cut across his neck, prosecutors said.

No further information was released about the circumstances leading up to the crime or the relationship between the suspect and victim, if any.

The victim's name and age were also not released.

Holdburg was arraigned Tuesday in 37th District Court and was given a $1 million bond.

If bond is posted, he will have to wear a steel cuff GPS, have no contact with any of the witnesses, and not go within a quarter mile of where the incident happened.

"This was a brutal and senseless act of violence. The sheer disregard for human life is both heartbreaking and unacceptable," said Lucido, in a statement. "Our office will pursue justice with the full weight of the law to ensure the individual responsible is held fully accountable. We must continue to stand united against this kind of violence and affirm that it has no place in our neighborhoods."

Holdburg will next be back in court for a probable cause conference set for June 10, to be followed by a preliminary exam set for June 17.
