WARREN (WWJ) - The search is on to find a woman who allegedly stabbed her boyfriend and lit their apartment on fire in Warren on Thursday morning after an argument spiraled out of control.
Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer told WWJ that police are looking for the woman who managed to get away after the incident in the 28800 block of Imperial in the City of Warren.
According to Dwyer, the man and woman -- both in their 20s -- were living together at the apartment when they got into an argument. The woman allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed her boyfriend before setting fire to the unit.
The apartment complex was evacuated as authorities worked to contain the fire, the commissioner added.
The man was not seriously hurt and sustained superficial injuries.
Dwyer said the incident occurred after a child living at the residence had left for school.
No other details were released, An investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
