PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Oakland County Sheriff's investigators suspect that a Waterford woman was driving drunk when she allegedly caused a fatal crash in Pontiac Friday morning.

A 70-year-old White Lake Township man was killed in the incident at around 7:45 a.m., at the intersection of East Huron Street and Woodward Avenue.

According to the sheriff's office, Kirt Stalker was riding a 2018 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle eastbound on Huron when a 2016 GMC Canyon pickup truck headed in the same direction in the lane next to him turned into his bike. The two vehicles collided.

Stalker, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

The pickup driver, a 29-year-old Waterford woman, is "suspected of being under the influence of alcohol" at the time of the crash, according to the sheriff's office report.

Officials said a blood sample was taken from the driver, and results of a blood test are pending.

The woman and her 15-year-old passenger were not injured in the crash.

An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is ongoing.
