
WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) -- A 19-year-old Oakland County man is facing a criminal charge, after investigators found phony money and an array of other suspicious items in his home.
Deago Harrell of West Bloomfield was arrested last week after police executed a search warrant at the house on Timberlane Trail, near Haggerty Rd.
The West Bloomfield Police Department said investigators found and confiscated bundles of counterfeit money and credit cards, multiple laptops, tablets, a desktop computer, digital camera and credit card reader/encoder, and notebooks containing personal information from victims.
They also allegedly found prescription pills, financial documents, mail and drivers licenses belonging to other people, pistols and a shotgun.
Harrell was arrested and booked in the Oakland County Jail, charged with one felony count of Uttering and Publishing Counterfeit Bills or Notes.
He has since been arraigned in 48th District Court where bond was set at $75,000 cash/surety.
Police said the investigation is ongoing in this case.
