WEST BLOOMFIELD (WWJ) == A West Bloomfield man who worked as a nanny is jailed on felony charges after it's alleged that he sexually assaulted a child over a number of years.
Last month, Northfield Police in Whitmore Lake contacted West Bloomfield Township police about a case they were investigating involving a young child.
The victim's mother used sittercity.com to find a nanny for her child, and hired 58-year-old Michael Alan Bank.
Investigators say, over the following years, Bank repeatedly engaged in criminal sexual conduct with the child.
Police with a search warrant seized several electronic devices belonging to Bank, and have since uncovered a multitude of images of children, including evidence of what appeared to be Bank "with some of those children in various compromised positions and acts," police said, in a news release.
Bank, 58, was arraigned on Jan. 18 on three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under age 13, and one count of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under age 13.
As the investigation continues, police believe there could be more victims in this case.
Anyone who may know someone who was victimized by this man is asked to call Det. Cherry at 248-975-8981.
Bank remained held without bond in the Oakland County Jail as of Tuesday.
