(WWJ) -- A family of five from west Michigan is among the group of missionaries that were kidnapped in Haiti this weekend.
WWJ’s Mike Campbell reports that the family are members of the Hart Dunkard Brethren Church located in the city of Hart between US-31 and Lake Michigan.

Minister Ron Marks did not identify the members, but said they are one adult and four children. The youngest member of the family is under the age of 10.
Mission sponsor Christian Aid Ministries in Ohio has a message on their answering machine asking for prayers.
Congressman Bill Huizenga, R-Zeeland, calls it “a sad day for west Michigan,” and says his office is working with the State Department and Biden Administration to resolve “this very fluid and dangerous situation.”
The Associated Press reports the 17 Christian missionaries were kidnapped on Sunday in Haiti by a gang called 400 Mawozo, known for kidnappings, extortion and killings.
According to Haitian authorities, the group is being held in a safe house in a city outside of the capital, Port Au Prince.
"The US embassy in Port-Au-Prince is coordinating with local authorities and providing assistance to the families to resolve the situation," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement.
