WESTLAND (WWJ) -- An early morning fire forced residents out of their homes at an apartment complex in Westland.
Fire crews were called to the complex on the corner of Warner and Merriman roads around 4 a.m. on Monday following reports of a blaze on a second floor balcony.
Authorities were able to contain the flames while they worked to rip through the siding to get to the suspected source of the fire.
There were no injuries reported and the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
