HURON COUNTY (WWJ) -- A metro Detroit man has been hospitalized with serious injuries after a boast crash near Saginaw Bay over the weekend.
The Huron County Sheriff’s Department says 27-year-old Dalton Davis of Westland was on a boat that was involved in a fundraising event with several other boats on Saturday afternoon.
At some point, one boat broadsided another, and Davis was hit in the chest by the bow.
He was taken to a local hospital, and then relocated to another facility for additional treatment.
A Livonia man who was with Davis, along with two other people on board the other boat, were not hurt in the crash.
