Assault, Theft and Hazing: What is being done to protect students on college campuses in Michigan?

(WWJ) – Last week an Oakland University student was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend while walking on campus. The suspect has since been arrested. Meanwhile, at Michigan State University, a freshman was sexually assaulted during sorority rush week.

Those recent incidents have some asking: are crimes against students on the rise? Are our students safe here in Michigan?

In a new Daily J, WWJ’s Brian Fisher digs into those questions and looks into what resources students have on campus to protect themselves, and what colleges are doing to continue growing those resources.
