(WWJ) Metro Detroiters are waking up to at least seven inches of snow on the ground in some areas and the prospect of a treacherous commute for those still working in an office.
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until noon Tuesday for Macomb, Washtenaw, Lenawee, Monroe and Oakland Counties.
Accuweather said up to two more inches of snow may fall. Northerly winds of 20 to 25 miles per hour will lead to blowing and drifting of snow during times.
"Roads are hideous if you have to leave for work early this morning," WWJ Traffic's own Tia Graham wrote in a video posted on Twitter.

Roads are hideous but they will improve later on.
If you have to work this morning, leave EARLY! @MorningEdition is coming up at 5A here on @wdet pic.twitter.com/Qxw88XXNfV
Accuweather urges anyone who "must travel" to keep an extra flashlight, food and water inside the car in case of emergency.
This comes six years and a couple of weeks after metro Detroit had its third-largest snowstorm on record, with more than a foot of snow falling between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2, 2015. Exactly 16.7 inches of snow fell in that time frame.
