Metro Detroit woke up Friday to a blanket of white stuff, and here's what you need to know next: A Winter Weather Advisory remained in effect until 10 a.m.

Today, the region will see winds 20 and 25 mph, with gusts of up to 45 mph. Temperatures will be in the 20s, with real feels below 0.

Flurries and snow showers will move throughout the day, with a burst of Arctic air that will bring the temperature even lower -- into the teens -- by Sunday.

So far, the region has about 4 inches of snow, with the largest amount falling in the downriver community of Wyandotte. Wyandotte got 4.2 inches.

Novi and Ypsilanti got 4 inches, while about 3.5 fell in Shelby Township, Garden City and Lake Orion. Three inches were reported in Berkley, Southfield and Ann Arbor. Other cities, including Grosse Pointe, Roseville, and Canton hit at 2 inches.

Detroit's snow total, taken at Metro Airport in Romulus, was 4.1 inches.
