TROT (WWJ) -- A woman from Massachusetts is facing charges in Oakland County after an incident at a restaurant in Troy.

At around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, Troy Police said a call came in about an assault at Joe Kool’s Bar & Grill, on E. Big Beaver Rd.

Responding officers spoke with the manager, who said a female customer had been asked to leave after causing a disturbance.

The manger told police that the customer then spat on an employee, and hit him in the back of the head with her cell phone while she was being escorted out of the restaurant.

The customer — identified as a 29-year-old woman from Boston's West Roxbury neighborhood — was arrested.

But while officers were getting her into the patrol car, the woman allegedly spat on an officer, police said.

She was taken to the Troy Police lock-up where she was booked on one felony count of Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer, and two misdemeanor counts of Assault and Battery.

The woman could face up to two years in prison on the felony charge.

Her name was not immediately released.
