(WWJ) A young Detroit woman is behind bars after it's alleged she vandalized a motel room, then fought with arresting officers in Oakland County.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene late Monday night, at the Red Roof Inn on Crooks Road in Rochester Hills, on a report about a domestic incident.

When deputies arrived they found a woman who said that no assault had taken place, but that her sister was highly intoxicated and had damaged the motel room, then run away.

When deputies tracked down the 22-year-old suspect she "was not cooperative with directives given by deputies," according to a sheriff's office report.

Deputies said the woman took a fighting stance with clenched fists and stated, “If you try and touch me, I will fight you."

It's alleged that the woman then actively resisted attempts to take her into custody, kicking the door jamb as deputies were trying to get her into the patrol car.

After deputies secured her the woman in the patrol vehicle, they said she continuously kicked the rear passenger door, causing damage to the door frame.

The woman remains lodged in the Oakland County Jail awaiting an arraignment on expected charges of malicious destruction of police property and resisting arrest. Her name was not released.
