PITTSFIELD TWP. (WWJ) -- A murder investigation is underway in Washtenaw County's Pittsfield Township, where a 50-year-old woman was found dead.
Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that a 50-year-old woman was shot while inside a car along Plaza Drive, which is in the area of I-94 and State Street, south of Ann Arbor.
EMS responded, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they found multiple bullet holes in the vehicle.
There is no information about any suspects at this time, and the woman's name has not been released.
While police have not discussed a possible motive for the killing, they said investigators have reason to believe that this victim was intentionally targeted.
Police added there there is no threat or danger to the public at this time.
