
REDFORD TWP. (WWJ) -- A young woman is dead after a two-car crash in Redford Township, Thursday evening.
Redford Township Police said the crash happened at around 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 2, in the area of Inkster and Plymouth roads.
Police said the driver of a gray Cadillac was headed southbound Inkster, when they blew through a red light at Grantland, and drove into the northbound lanes of Inkster Rd. where it crashed into a Chevy Trax.
The front seat passenger in the Trax-— identified as a 23-year-old woman — was rushed to a local hospital. She later died from her injuries. Her name was not immediately released.
Both drivers suffered only minor injuries, police said.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
