
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police have arrested two people connected to a deadly hit-and-run on the city's east side.
Police said the crash happened just before 6 p.m. Thursday, along Schoenherr Rd. at and 8 Mile Rd., near the Detroit/Warren border.
Police said the two men were driving in a Jeep Grand Cherokee that crashed into a Lexus.
The woman who was driving the Lexus was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police said two men in the Jeep fled after the crash, but were caught, arrested, and taken to a local hospital for treatment of some injuries.
No details were immediately released about the woman who died.
Charges are pending, and the investigation is ongoing.
