(WWJ) A crash on the Southfield Freeway claimed a woman’s life.
Michigan State Police say a Ford Fusion was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck another vehicle, causing the Fusion to roll over on the southbound side of the freeway at Joy Road around 2:10 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the driver of the Fusion was “partially ejected” at impact. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Her next of kin have been notified. Her name and age have not been released.
The person in the car that was struck had “minor injuries” and was treated by EMS.
