ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) The St. Clair Shores Police Department is investigating a suspected fatal hit-and-run, police said.
St. Clair Shores Police said it happened on Wednesday, February 25, shortly before 1:15 a.m. on westbound I-94 between 8 and 9 Mile. They were called to the scene for a pedestrian in a lane of traffic.
Officers arrived and discovered a woman dead in the right lane of the freeway, near the Shady Lane pedestrian bridge. They have identified her and notified her family, police said.
Her name was not released.
