PONTIAC (WWJ) — A man and woman have been found dead in what police in Oakland County say was a murder-suicide sparked by a domestic dispute.
Deputies with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home on Maurer Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after getting a 911 call reporting that two people were dead inside the home.
When deputies showed up they found a man and woman lying dead in the hallway. A handgun and two spent shell casings were found near the man’s hand on the floor, according to the sheriff’s office.
The woman has been identified as 33-year-old Charnae Jenkins and the man was identified as 29-year-old Alvin Dewayne Hall.
Investigators believe Jenkins and Hall had been in the midst of “an ongoing domestic dispute,” but no other details were released.
Authorities say Hall was identified as the shooter.
The murder-suicide investigation remains ongoing.
