WARREN, Mich. (WWJ) – A woman who has reportedly stolen vehicles from car dealerships multiple times in the past has apparently struck again.
Warren police say they have recovered a 2018 Chevy Impala that had been stolen by a customer on a test drive last week, according to a report from WDIV.
While the woman’s name hasn’t been released publicly, authorities say she went to Kal’s Dealership – on 8 Mile Road, near Ryan and Dequindre – on Friday, showed her driver’s license and jumped in the car for a test drive.
The only problem? She never returned.
Police also said the woman’s ID turned out to be fake.

Authorities said this is the eighth time the same woman has stolen a car while on a supposed “test drive.” It wasn't clear where those previous thefts had taken place.
It was not immediately clear whether she has faced charges for the other stolen vehicles. Police did not say whether the woman was arrested or if they know her true identity.
The vehicle was being processed for evidence and the investigation is still ongoing.
