(WWJ) A 46-year-old Chinese national has taken a plea for her role in operating an international human trafficking and commercial sex ring through illicit massage parlors in Macomb County.

According to Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, Jingyu Jin pled no contest to one count of Conducting a Criminal Enterprise.

Jin was allegedly one of the ringleaders of a human trafficking operation, and personally ran 111 Healing Studio on Harper in St. Clair Shores, and AM Healing Studio at Metro Parkway and Mound in Sterling Heights.

Jin's plea follows a major December 2024 investigation led by local, state, and federal agencies, including Homeland Security Investigations, the Michigan State Police, and the St. Clair Shores Police Department.

Jin's co-defendant, Huazi Piao, was sentenced last year on similar charges related to separate parlors in Wayne County.

Authorities freed more than a women of Chinese and Korean origin during the operation; all of them believed to be victims in this case.

AG Nessel said investigators tied Jin's enterprise to a broader network.

“This illicit operation was one of the largest forced commercial sex enterprises ever uncovered in our state, trapping numerous victims who were trafficked across an ocean directly into our communities,” said Nessel, in a statement.

“This conviction makes clear that Michigan will be no harbor for the heinous trafficking trade, and my office remains committed to working with state, local, and federal law enforcement to dismantle these networks, protect survivors, and hold traffickers accountable.”

Jin is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 3 in Macomb County's 16th Circuit Court.
