DETROIT (WWJ) A Detroit woman is in custody, accused of shooting a man who she said assaulted her.
Police say a woman, 25, told investigators she shot the man, 39, after the assault. It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday on Taylor (1500 block) near Clairmount and the Lodge.
Officers arrested the woman and recovered a firearm.
The man was hospitalized in temporary serious condition.
Many unknowns still remain about this case including whether or not the man and women knew each other, and the nature of the assault if it occurred.
