
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are investigating after an ambulance was stolen from outside a hospital, early Wednesday morning in Detroit.
According to Detroit Police, a woman drove away in the ambulance from Detroit Receiving Hospital, in the 4200 block of St. Antoine, at around 2:30 a.m.
The EMS rig was found near W. Grand Boulevard and Fort Street a short time later, but no one was inside.
It's unclear if this is a mental health situation, if the woman was a patient at the hospital, or why she drove away in the vehicle.
Police are still looking for the woman involved, as the investigation continues.
