YPSILANTI (WWJ) - A woman was arrested without incident after she allegedly caused a scene at an Ypsilanti Kroger when she walked into the store wielding a machete, authorities said.
According the to Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, an arrest in the incident was made just after 4 p.m. at the Kroger at 2110 Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti.
Deputies said a woman walked into the store and began swinging a machete around the liquor section. When authorities arrived at the scene, the women was taken into custody without further incident.
No injuries were reported.
Upon investigation, law enforcement said the women was experiencing a mental health crisis and did not attack anyone.
The identity of the woman was not released nor were any additional details about the case.
