(WWJ) - It appears that workers at each of the Big Three have approved their contracts, indicating the end of the UAW strike.

Ford workers appeared to have had enough support for their deal to pass this afternoon. Stellantis employees approved their deal earlier today, and GM signed off on their contract yesterday.

GM seemed to have the least amount of support for the deal. GM workers approved their contract by just over 3,400 workers. 55% of GM employees were in favor. Stellantis and Ford both passed their contracts by wider margins, officials said.

WWJ’s Jeff Gilbert said it is unusual to see Ford pass a tentative deal so smoothly. “There traditionally is a core of workers that votes against tentative agreements,” Gilbert said.

Gilbert said the Ford deal had the most support from components workers that are being brought up to full pay.

Stellantis workers approved their contract by about 68%. This was in part due to the new investments the company is making, including upgrades to several plants that were slated to close, Gilbert said.

Some GM workers were hoping to get more in the contract for retirees, Gilbert said. The contract will see GM workers receiving a 25% raise over the course of four years, as well as cost of living adjustments.

More details about what is in all three contracts should be released now that they have been approved, Gilbert said.

The UAW strike against the Big Three lasted over 40 days and saw thousands of workers on the picket line.
